Southern Shutters range of Aluminium Perforated Mesh Barrier Screens and Doors are a great choice for added security and protection.

The 1.6mm thick mesh used to construct the hinged and sliding doors not only allows for strength and corrosion resistance, but also allows for unobstructed views. Tested in accordance with AS5039 (Dynamic Impact Test, Pull Test, Jemmy Test, Knife Shear Test & Probe Test), the aesthetically pleasing, smooth to touch Aluminium Perforated Mesh is also easy to clean and maintain.

For an additional cost we are even able to install pet/ dog doors to your new Barrier Door.

* Cyclone escape screens also available for applicable regions. These stand alone screens give protection to the whole window, but still allow for a safe exit from your home in case of an emergency (via a press bar release on the internal of the screen). Constructed from 304 grade 2b Finish Stainless Steel the Perforated Stainless Steel have a high quality, smooth to touch finish.

Southern Shutters Cyclone Screens have been tested to AS1170.2011. In this test a 4kg piece of hardwood is aimed at the centre of the cyclone screen and then launched, the test demonstrates that a screen can resist a 4kg piece of wood travelling at 158km/h.

Care and Maintenance

Southern Shutters recommends using a soft bristled brush or non-abrasive cloth with warm water and neutral detergent, then rinse. Abrasive cleaners and harsh detergents are not recommended as these can scratch or damage the surface. Cleaning should be at least once every 3 months or every month in high industrial or coastal areas.
